  The challenges we encountered with regard to acquiring an online presence for our foundation Limited resources: One of the biggest challenges faced by an NGO in establishing an online presence through a blogsite is lack of resources. Often, NGOs operate on limited funds and do not have dedicated teams for maintaining digital media platforms. Technical expertise: Another challenge is the technical expertise required for designing, building and maintaining a blogsite. Setting up a blog site requires specialized skill sets which may not be available within the organization. Consistency: Maintaining a blog site requires a consistent effort in terms of regularly uploading new content. This can be challenging as NGOs have a lot on their plate and often have to prioritize other activities. YOUR SMILE IS IMPORTANT TO US Smile foundation is a non-profit foundation that was initiated in 2002 when a  girl that suffered from a rare medical condition causing facial nerve paralysis. Her mother sought help from our Chief Patron, the late honorable Nelson Mandela, who made a call that would help secure surgery for the young child as well as countless other children to come. His belief that the future of our nation is in the hands of our children has and continues to be a driving motivation for the Smile Foundation.
